Brut Millésimé 2018
Laurent-Perrier reveals its 32nd vintage in the House’s iconic shield bottle.
The year 2018 was marked by a mild winter and spring, accompanied by rainfall that encouraged vine growth from budburst, observed in mid-April. Flowering began in early June. The warm and sunny summer provided ideal conditions for grape ripening. Harvesting started at the end of August and took place under perfectly stable weather conditions. The grapes, of exceptional quality and great generosity, promised a harmonious and promising vintage.

After a long ageing period of more than 7 years in the cellar, Laurent-Perrier reveals its 32nd vintage in the House’s iconic shield bottle, that of Cuvée Rosé, Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature and Héritage. This wine, made from the finest Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, has blossomed harmoniously in this generously curved bottle.

Its pale gold colour, illuminated by fine and delicate bubbles forming a persistent bead of foam, reveals itself with elegance. The nose opens fresh and airy, expressing vibrant aromas of citrus, notably pink grapefruit, intertwined with notes of stone fruits such as vine peach and mirabelle plum. On the palate, a precise and lively attack unfolds into flavours of candied citrus, particularly clementine, harmoniously mingled with softer pastry nuances and hints of acacia honey. The finish is slightly mineral and delicately saline, enhancing the wine’s length and leaving a refined, balanced impression.
Best served between 9°C et 11°C, Brut Millésimé 2018 pairs beautifully with oysters served with seaweed butter, lemon-infused chicken supreme, or a cheese soufflé.
